God is on the move at USD.
The ministry of InterVarsity has a unique opportunity at this strategic San Diego university, as it is the only Christian organization that exists on campus other than USD’s University Ministry (UM). We are a student missions movement, committed to reaching the whole campus with the whole Gospel–we want to see students, faculty and staff at USD encounter and be transformed by Jesus. And we are seeing it–we have already seen students make first time decisions to follow Jesus this year. We have the wonderful problem of needing to figure out how to quickly multiple small groups in order to meet the needs of our growing community. We already have students signed up to participate in GiGs (Groups Investigating Gods)–non-Christians committing to studying the Bible and exploring the work and person of Jesus with a Christian leader.
This is incredibly rich and fruitful work–work that requires a team of dedicated partners.
If you are interested, there are a few different ways you can partner with the ministry at USD.
1) Prayer Partnership. The ministry needs a dedicated team of pray-ers, committed to interceding on behalf of the campus and the ministry. This prayer support is absolutely crucial to the ministry and purpose of InterVarsity at USD.
2) Financial Partnership. As a missionary to the college campus, I raise all of my own financial support. You’re partnership frees me to spend time on campus discipling students and sharing the gospel. It also provides the ministry budget for things like outreaches on campus and training for student leaders.
